More (lighter) Soccer News

I’m happy to see that the Bay Area (San Jose, to be specific) will be joining the WPS for the 2009 season.  “Play kicks off in the spring of 2009, with WPS teams based in the Bay Area, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Jersey/New York, St. Louis, and Washington, D.C. The league will expand in 2010 with the inclusion of Atlanta, Dallas, and Philadelphia.”

I’m sure the gold medal didn’t hurt one damn bit!

The WPS is beginning to gear up for player allocations, and here are some photos from the WPSL Combine held Aug. 28-31 in Sacramento, Calif. (Credit: Patricia Giobetti)

Speaking of the gold, here’s a college soccer preview from Soccer America.  Sounds like A-Rod hasn’t missed a beat!

Hey, great blog! I had an idea about your site that you might be keen to, but I’d much rather discuss it over e-mail instead of posting it here. Send me an e-mail for more info.

    Thanks!
