Palin Going Rogue (in her Manolo Pumps)?

Apparently all is not well in the McCain campaign (no big news there, I realize).  Still, the word in Politico is that Palin and her supporters are getting impatient with the way things are going (or not going).  An ambitious lot with their eye on 2012, looks like some of them want to throw the guy what brought ’em under the bus and go their own rougish way.  Guess that’s the risk you run when two Mavericks get together.

Bret and BartAlthough Bret and Bart seemed to do okay in their day.  Simpler times, I guess.

Here are some tidbits from Politico …

Four Republicans close to Palin said she has decided increasingly to disregard the advice of the former Bush aides tasked to handle her, creating occasionally tense situations as she travels the country with them. Those Palin supporters, inside the campaign and out, said Palin blames her handlers for a botched rollout and a tarnished public image – even as others in McCain’s camp blame the pick of the relatively inexperienced Alaska governor, and her public performance, for McCain’s decline.

“She’s lost confidence in most of the people on the plane,” said a senior Republican who speaks to Palin, referring to her campaign jet. He said Palin had begun to “go rogue” in some of her public pronouncements and decisions.

“I think she’d like to go more rogue,” he said.

On the TarmacRemember this photo of Cindy and John and Sarah on the tarmac? I’d say things look a little tense.  (Click on the pic for a larger image.)

Princess Sparkle Pony says it best:  “Is it just me, or is McCain clenching both of his fists awfully tightly? Buyer’s regret? Look at the faces of Cindy and the assistant! This is not a happy exchange.”

Oh, and it’s only going to get worse … mark my words!

  1. While I totally agree about McCain’s wavering course … you have a more sympathetic take on Palin’s ambition-driven machinations than I do. I feel like they deserve one another at this point … and the downward spiral can’t go far enough fast enough for me!

  2. movie fan says:

the McCain camp has been sending mixed signals since it’s inception… looks like not even Sarah Palin can keep up with McCain’s endless wavering between “straight talker” and crooked politician
