If It's Tuesday … Well … SUPER!

Today’s the big day.  I wonder what it feels like for the candidates, waking up this morning.  Wonder if they slept.  Here’s the delegate count (including super delegates) as of dawn today:

… and just in case you’re wondering why your vote might be important … here’s the “War Sheet” from the Newsmeat site (source of the table above, too):

Its sounds like there are a number of states (Massachusetts, California) where the results will be very telling and, at least on the Republican side, could lead to a withdrawal.  For example, were Romney to lose in his “home” state of Massachusetts, that would be a real blow.  (And quite frankly, it’s hard for me to imagine the Bay State not feeling a tad peeved with him and the way he’s tried to distance himself from stands that he ran on there.)  For Clinton and Obama it sounds like it’s way too close to call … all over the place.  And on the Democratic side most of the delegate allocations are proportional – so the ultimate stakes aren’t quite so stark as on the Republican side, where there is the potential for McCain to more or less lock it up today.

Whatever .. it’ll be an interesting night tonight!
