Bush Being Bush … Then it Gets Better

Bush Being BushThese photos from Bush’s visit to the Air Force Academy are, on the off-chance that you’d forgotten, photos of the self-proclaimed leader of the free world. (They also will, like so much else he has done, help al Qaeda in their recruitment efforts I am sure.) Great job, Bushie!

On a more interesting and uplifting note, here’s an article from the Kansas City Star about Barack Obama’s mother (who sounds like a fascinating woman).

The Peace Queen Cup website (in English) offers information about the tournament (which starts on June 14th). The USWNT plays Australia on Sunday, June 15, and then Brazil on the 17th. I haven’t seen anything about TV or video for these matches.

The LA Sparks were handed their first loss in double OT by the Indiana Fever yesterday. I’m glad to see that the Sparks will be on TV on Saturday vs. the Mystics. We’ll DVR that one, and look forward to seeing Candace Parker in action. The Minnesote Lynx are now the only undefeated team in the WNBA, having beaten the Chicago Sky to get to 3 and 0. Lead by Seimone Augustus and rookie Charde Houston, the Lynx are off to the best start in franchise history.

Castle in the GardenLast but not least by any means, from HollyCornblog land, here’s another in our series of castle photos. This shows one of the castles, by a meandering garden path. It’s a magical place!

At least Reagan had the good sense to hide his dementia until after he left office.
